John Corradi, a retired United Airlines
Boeing 777 Captain, was born in 1942, the same year as his Waco.
He flew P-3 Orions in the U.S. Navy (VP-8, First with the Orion!)
before joining United in 1967. After almost 30 years flying the
B-727, John flew the magnificent 777 for five years before he retired in
September of 2002. He has logged well over 23,000 hours of flight
time during a flying career spanning over 40 years. He has flown
tail-draggers for over 25 years and has been flying his Waco in the Flying
Circus since 1999. John is also a director of the Brandy
Station Foundation, a Civil War battlefield preservation group. John is still married to his high school
sweetheart, Maggie; has two children, John B (a pilot) and Suzanne, a
celebrity! They live on a farm near Culpeper, in Rixeyville, Virginia. Yes, there is a grass strip on their farm. John was also the Project Coordinator for The Wright Experience, and helped build and fly the 1903 Wright Flyer reproduction for the 2003 Countdown to Kitty Hawk Celebration. We hope to have DVDs of the Discovery Channel TV Special available soon. Please visit www.wrightexperience.com and www.countdowntokittyhawk.com for more information. |
