John Corradi, a retired United Airlines
Boeing 777 Captain, was born in 1942, the same year as his Waco.
John, a Viet Nam vet, flew P-3 Orions in the U.S. Navy (VP-8, First with the Orion!)
before joining United in 1967. After almost 30 years flying the
B-727, John flew the magnificent 777 for five years before he retired in
September of 2002. He has logged over 24,000 hours in a flying career spanning close to fifty years.. He has flown
tail-draggers for over 25 years and has been flying his Waco in the Flying
Circus since 1999. John is also a director of the Brandy
Station Foundation, a Civil War battlefield preservation group. John is still married to his high school
sweetheart, Maggie; has two children, John B, and Suzanne, and two grandkids, Jaelyn & Madelyn. They live on a farm near Culpeper, in Rixeyville, Virginia. Yes, there is a grass strip on their farm. John was also the Project Coordinator for The Wright Experience, and helped build and fly the 1903 Wright Flyer reproduction for the 2003 Countdownto Kitty Hawk Celebration.
